Claim: An X user claims that Ronaldo and his long-time girlfriend, Georgina, are married.

Verdict: False. Sufficient evidence indicates that the picture shared contains high traces of AI. Moreover, the latest reports from credible news outlets indicate that the two friends are only engaged, not married.

In August, Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner, Georgina Rodriguez, got engaged. Georgina had announced the news on social media alongside a picture of a large ring.
The couple have been together since 2016, when they met at a Gucci store where Georgina worked as a sales assistant.
Against this background, an X user, @pkay_7_, claims the 40-year-old has now married his long-time partner.
“Ronaldo and Georgina are married,” the X user wrote.
Alongside the statement, he shared a picture of the duo in wedding dresses, and romantically embraced.
Since Saturday, October 11, 2025, the image has garnered approximately 3 million views, 1,000 comments, 3,800 retweets, 81,000 likes, and 1,000 bookmarks.
Some users hinted at the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the picture and doubted the accuracy of the post, while a few believed the claim.
“Congratulations to both,” @Iam_Prathap wrote.
“Finally,” @Nnamdi Abia commented.
“AI-generated,” @Roddie Damian pointed out.
“This is a fake AI-generated photo,” @ebukathebaron dismissed.
Due to the varied opinions of X users regarding the post, DUBAWA decided to verify the claim.
Verification
DUBAWA conducted a keyword search to check if the Portuguese and his long-time partner are married. We discovered that the latest report about the couple’s relationship, shared in August by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), only discusses Ronaldo’s engagement to Georgina.
BeIN Sports also wrote about a similar development and hinted at the possibility of a wedding soon.
However, no credible news outlet has independently reported an alleged wedding between the couple.
We also manually analysed the picture the X user shared and noticed some irregularities peculiar to AI-generated images.
Georgina’s right fingers are asymmetrical, as they are unusually shaped and arranged. Moreover, Ronaldo’s right fingers and Georgina’s left fingers seem to be moulded together where they are romantically interlaced.

We also subjected the image to an AI-video detecting tool, Attestiv, which summed up the degree to which the image had been tampered with. It summed up the data manipulation in the picture as 10.

We also conducted a deep scan pixel analysis on the image, using Attestive. Deep scan pixel analysis is used to perform a comprehensive study on an image to deduce activities such as image manipulation.
The analysis revealed that the image has been significantly modified, suggesting that the material is more synthetic than the original.

Conclusion
The claim is false. Evidence shows that the shared image was heavily enhanced using AI.
