On Dec. 29, 2025, a famous YouTube streamer, Darren Jaso, popularly known as IShowSpeed, started his 28-day tour across African countries. As part of his adventure, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, he landed in Lagos State, Nigeria, where he celebrated his 21st birthday.

During his visit to Nigeria, IShowSpeed declined to interact with Peller and clarified that his visit to Africa was intended to explore culture and talent, not to network with influencers or streamers.

After Nigeria, the streamer travelled to Ghana to continue his tour. Following IShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana, a Ghana Facebook page, “Mx24 TV,” on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, shared a video (archived here) claiming that Peller has just landed in Ghana to stream with the 21-year-old American YouTuber after several failed attempts during his visit to Nigeria.

The post reads, “Peller isn’t giving up! He has reportedly arrived in Ghana to stream after several failed attempts to meet IShowSpeed.”

As of Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, the Facebook video has generated over 1,500 likes, 62 reposts, 9 comments, and 11 bookmarks.

Similar videos resurfaced on Facebook here, here, and here, and on X (here and here).

In the comment section, some users who believed the post accused him of chasing clout, while others expressed doubt.

Otu Issac claimed, “He is taking advantage of the trend, mind games.”

Another user, Teda Teda, reinforced, “Smart, so that he can start his own stream while chasing.”

“This was the time he was invited by Shatta Wale,” Supa Marcelo wrote.

Due to the massive attention IShowSpeed’s tour across Africa has generated online, and the comment questioning the claim’s veracity, DUBAWA decided to verify it.
