Senator Prince Kermue Moye is a long-standing member of the Unity Party (UP). In 2023, he served as the party’s National Campaign Manager during the elections that brought the Unity Party to power. As a steward of the UP, Senator Moye’s membership dates as far back as 2011, when he entered the Legislature.
For a few months now, Sen. Moye has been carrying out district tours to engage with his constituents. Amongst the places visited recently was the Bong Athletic and Social Intellectual Centre. Shortly after that visit, Bong Pepper Bird claimed that the lawmaker, during his tour, announced his decision to end his long-standing political ties due to divisions and internal problems.
The post accumulated 228 reactions, 281 comments and 55 shares. In the comment section, many people argued that the claim was false, while some believed the claimant.

Verification
To verify this claim, the researcher contacted Senator Moye to confirm whether he made that comment. In response, Moye denied the allegation. The Bong County leader said the page (Bong Pepper Bird) is operated by members of his rival.

Also, journalist Matalay Kollie, who has been on the tour throughout, told DUBAWA that the Lawmaker did not make such an announcement.
Furthermore, the researcher contacted the claimant via messenger to provide evidence to the claim. The message indicated ‘delivered,’ but we didn’t get a response from Bong Pepper Bird up til the time of this publication.

Meanwhile, we researched credible news outlets to see whether such an announcement has been reported, but to no avail.
Conclusion
From the findings gathered, there is no evidence that Senator Moye announced a decision to contest with opposition leader George Weah. Therefore, the claim is false.
