Totally False! As at July 2017, statistics from the General Medical Council (GMC) UK, showed that over 4,765 Nigerian doctors were working in the UK. This represented 1.7 per cent of UK’s total medical workforce. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Nigerian Medical Association and even the reality of the average Nigerian shows that there is no truth in the Minister's claim!!

Although one requires a minimum of a first degree to work as a Teller in a bank or to even be considered for the post of a security guard in some companies, regrettably, one does not need a WAEC Certificate to contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
