Simeon Freeman<\/a>, a presidential hopeful in Liberia\u2019s upcoming presidential and legislative elections, claimed that \u201cLiberia has the highest rate of rainfall in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Freeman, the political leader of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), made this claim when he appeared on national radio, Okay 99.5FM<\/a>, to tell the Liberians about his presidential ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Freeman was a prime guest of the station\u2019s flagship programme, The Okay Morning Rush. The show was simulcast on several other radio stations and online media outlets in the country, including  Front Page Africa<\/a> and Fortune TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the programme, Mr Freeman claimed, \u201cLiberia has the highest rainfall rate in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Freeman made the claim around the 2:20:40 to 2:20:50 hours<\/a> of the almost three-hour show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Freeman stated that under his regime as president of Liberia, he would not concentrate on building roads because it may stall the nation\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Freeman said, \u201cWe\u2019ve got two seasons, dry and rainy seasons. We have torrential rain, and we have the highest rainfall in the world. People forget these things, so focusing on roads can hold back our progress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
