A social media news blog,\u00a0 \u201cBigpapa News,<\/a>\u201d\u00a0 has alleged that\u00a0 a former representative in Grand Gedeh District #1,\u00a0 Mr Festus Saydee, has been \u201cdragged, beaten, and taken to jail for double voting in Zwedru.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The claim has ignited some interest and controversy on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the seriousness of the allegation, DUBAWA decided to investigate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To verify this, DUBAWA placed calls to the Assistant Commissioner of Police in the county, who said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am not aware of that report,\u201d said Commissioner Gberyan. \u201cWe did not arrest anyone or candidate in this county for voting twice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
