This prompted DUBAWA to fact-check the assertion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">DUBAWA checked through the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) for clarifications about the internal revenues that the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), <a href=\"https:\/\/nigerianstat.gov.ng\/elibrary\/read\/1241400\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">generated<\/a> from their local governments in the 2022 calendar year using National Bureau of Statistics data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">While N48,710,221,775.27 was made in 2022, seven states did not remit IGRs from their local governments.
