In the past, former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Neymar Santos (Jnr.) has been in the tabloids for his seemingly arrogant display<\/a> on and off the football pitch. In 2023, the Brazilian star transferred<\/a> to Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal after six seasons at Parc des Princes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over a year later, a Tiktok video<\/a> claims former PSG teammate and French star Kylian Mbappe, spoke about Mr Santos\u2019 ego and how it is responsible for his shortcomings at Camp Nou and Parc Des Princes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have to compare Neymar with me. Because he could have achieved so much in football. But the problem was his ego, he always wanted to be the centre of attention,\u201d Mr Mbappe allegedly said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen he was at Barcelona, he was always in Messi\u2019s shadows. He moved to PSG, and uhm, he didn\u2019t get any better because he only found himself in my shadow. So it was probably the reason he left for Saudi Arabia.\u201d He continued<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA conducted a keyword search on interviews conducted for Mr Mbappe and came across a YouTube video material credited to Columbia Broadcasting System<\/a> (CBS) Sports in 2022. The video has apparent similarities with the TikTok post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the video<\/a>, Mr Mbappe tells CBS Sports of his decision to stay in Paris, the reactions from Spain, and the potential of winning the Champions League with PSG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also noticed that the French player’s voice-speech synchronisation lacks communication cohesion, which largely indicates a digital alteration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
