We need a collaboration that will be a win-win for all.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In 2021, Meta <a href=\"https:\/\/about.fb.com\/news\/2021\/07\/investing-1-billion-dollars-in-creators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stated<\/a> that it plans to invest about $1 billion in programs that would open new opportunities for content creators to earn money for the content they create on Facebook and Instagram.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How does the monetisation feature work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/217939383051653\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram Help Centre<\/a>, non-business and creator accounts on Instagram are not eligible for the new monetisation feature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBusiness and creator accounts can be paid their earnings via monetisation tools, including badges, bonuses, branded content, gifts, and subscriptions. However, content creators can only receive paid proceeds of branded content for items on the creator marketplace that are labelled Paid through Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What makes Instagram users eligible for the payouts?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creators must meet both Instagram\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/help\/instagram\/512371932629820?helpref=faq_content&amp;_rdc=1&amp;_rdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Partner Monetisation Policies<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/help.instagram.com\/2635536099905516?helpref=faq_content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Content Monetisation Policies<\/a> to be eligible for the Instagram payout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creators must own a payout account for their payments to be remitted to them. Suppose a creator fails to include a payout account within five (5) months or surpasses earnings above $500 per monetisation tool or $1500 across tools, he or she will no longer be eligible for the Instagram monetisation feature. Moreover, after six months, he or she would forfeit all rights to receive payment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When would creators be paid?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">For most monetised items on Instagram, creators would receive payments when they have earned at least $100. In the case of Charities, the earnings should reach $100, \u00a3100, or \u20ac100.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Meta would pay creators in United States dollars (USD), which would be delivered to the bank or via a PayPal account linked to their payout accounts. Moreover, the local bank or PayPal account would complete conversions to a local currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Importantly, depending on the bank, payments can take one to seven business days. However, if a creator decides to change the mode of payment ten days or less before the payment date, he or she will not receive any payment until the next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">For most monetisation tools, payouts are released on the 21st day of every month for earnings made in the previous month.
