Moreover, DUBAWA discovered that Davido\u2019s logistics manager, IsraelDMW, posted the original picture and that none of the artists purportedly in the pictures so far gave credit to the existence of the pictures.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, had a traditional celebration<\/a> after his marriage<\/a> to his longtime girlfriend, Chioma Rowland. The event, which gathered many celebrities across Nigeria, has become a trending conversation in the country since the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Facebook user, \u201cHER SMILE<\/a>,\u201d posted a picture on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, showing Davido seated with his logistics manager, Israel Afeare (IsraelDMW), Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid), Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy), and Habeeb Badmus (Portable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCase settled. Many of You still say na editing,\u201d the post reads. Similar claims were also posted here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of Thursday, June 27, 2024, the post had garnered about 995 likes, 202 comments, and four reposts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going through the comment section, some users believed the photo was manipulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe same watch and posture? You try sha.\u201d Anthony Chukwudi<\/a> wrote<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another user, Kris Jay<\/a>, asserted, \u201cOmo, this man that edit(ed) this picture is a professional oooo, see as three of them hands. Abeg why portable no smile nah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary Ann<\/a> questioned, \u201cWhy (do)all of them come get the same hand and the same wristwatch, the same position but different head.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the virality and doubts over the authenticity of the pictures, DUBAWA decided to investigate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA noticed in the image posted the sitting posture of all four personalities with the Afrobeats singer. They all appear to be sitting almost in the same direction and posing in the same way. Not all the images are authentic, and one of the pictures has been altered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the left forearm and clothing accessories like the wristwatch are the same. Through keyword search, DUBAWA found that amongst the four paired pictures, the one in which Davido and his logistics manager are in is the original. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA came across Davido\u2019s loyal aide\u2019s Instagram<\/a> posts and located an Instagram<\/a> story he had posted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024\u2014the exact day Davido had his traditional celebration after his marriage to his lover, Chioma Rowland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As seen on his Instagram story, we noticed that Mr Afeare, popularly known as IsraelDMW, was the only one to wear a distinctive outfit at the ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noticeably, the pictures posted in the claim are watermarked, unlike the one posted by IsraelDMW, which strongly suggests the possibility of digital alteration. So we checked the Instagram handle, which was identified as memez.ng<\/a>, as identified on the pictures. There are digital alterations in the Instagram<\/a> version, where the images in question were posted.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA also checked the social media handles of the other professional entertainers in the pictures to see if they had made similar posts. We found none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
