Also, a Google image reverse showed that it did not happen in Rivers State <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background has-vivid-red-background-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CONCLUSION:\u00a0<\/strong>FALSE<\/p>\n\n\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>FULL STORY:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 26 of February, 2019, at about 6:16pm, a Twitter user, @ijaola_ibrahim posted pictures of some armed thugs arrested by the military. In<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tQbgHUdvKL\"> his tweet,<\/a> he claimed that the thugs were arrested in Rivers State and upon enquiry, they claimed to be working for the State Governor, Nyesome Wike.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<em>We work for Nysome @GovWike&#8230;Armed Thugs arrested by the Military in Rivers State<\/em>&#8220;, his tweet read<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The tweet generated 92 retweet and was liked by 89 people.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">To verify this tweet, Dubawa did a quick reverse image of the pictures. It appeared that the pictures were first posted online on 25th of February, 2019 by a local newspaper,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/withinnigeria.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/withinnigeria.com&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1551776374195000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEKgEBTeZCDvUimcu3Sg2jCzeMMFQ\">withinnigeria.com<\/a>.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The news outfit documented that the armed thugs were arrested in Bayelsa State and the headline reads: &#8220;Soldiers Kicks Off \u2018Drilling\u2019 On Political Thugs Arrested During Elections In Bayelsa (Photos)&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">To further substantiate our investigation, Dubawa also contacted the General Officer Commanding Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Major General Jamil Sarham.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">While speaking with our team in a telephone interview, he disclosed that no thugs were arrested and no thugs confessed that they are working for the State Government.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;<em>The army dey [sic] no parade any thugs.
