On X, the post amassed over 300,000 views and 248 reposts as of Feb. 5, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several X users reacted with scepticism. Sylvester A. Ekpen (@<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheRealSylEkpen\/status\/1886129751200616707\">TheRealSylEkpen<\/a>) dismissed the claim, commenting: <em>&#8220;FAKE NEWS!&#8221;<\/em> while another user, Premier (<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Premier_100\/status\/1884889404914741705\">@Premier_100<\/a>), wrote: &#8220;Can&#8217;t be real.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the potential impact of such claims on agriculture and food security and their virality, DUBAWA conducted a fact check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DUBAWA conducted a keyword search using &#8220;Swarm birds + locusts + Lagos State&#8221; but found no relevant reports.
