The presidential announcement claimed the verdict was a necessary federal intervention to the state\u2019s recent internal crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a video shared on March 23, 2025, by a Facebook user, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=1270905897877059&amp;rdid=0VG6sheuRnSVM577\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Agodi Comedy<\/a>, some persons struggled to enter a residence. He claimed that they were security agencies deployed by the FCT\u2019s minister, Nyesom Wike, to invade Mr Fubara\u2019s private residence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His caption reads, \u201cThe moment security agencies and Nyesom Wike came to embarrass Governor SIM Fubara in his private home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over 130,000 Facebook users viewed the video with the watermark of a credible Nigerian media organisation, TheCable. It also gained 691 reactions, 281 comments, and 618 reshares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though most comments negated the claim, some users believed the caption. Austin Odeh said, \u201cNigeria has no law, [and] no security in the land.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another user, Nkemji Mark, said the claim is retribution against the people of Rivers state, whom she described as ungrateful for rejecting Peterside Dakuku, the governorship candidate of Wike\u2019s predecessor, Chibuike Amaechi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The claim\u2019s potential implication for Nigeria\u2019s democracy and Wike\u2019s reputation prompted DUBAWA to conduct a fact check and verify its accuracy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Considering the public\u2019s interest in Rivers State following recent events, we ran a keyword search to find news reports. However, we found none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DUBAWA conducted a reverse image search using a keyframe from the footage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">to trace the video&#8217;s source. We found the exact video on TheCable\u2019s verified <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=1168698754878957\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/thecableng\/status\/1884584463612407961\">X page<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report revealed that the altercation witnessed in the video was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecable.ng\/breaking-fight-breaks-out-at-pdp-bot-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a scuffle<\/a> between two factions, led by Sunday Ude-Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu.
