Dr. Samuel B. Reeves, Jr.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Liberian TV Network, Dr. Reeves was suspended because of his alleged criticism of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for buying what he described as a luxurious bulletproof vehicle for personal use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article on the entity\u2019s page generated over 50 emojis, more than 30 comments, and 79&nbsp; shares.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two local dailies, <a href=\"https:\/\/verityonlinenews.com\/lcc-suspends-rev-reeves-over-controversial-statement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Variety online newspaper<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenvoicesnewspaper.org\/lcc-president-suspended-for-criticizing-boakais-luxurious-vehicle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women&#8217;s Voices Newspaper, also published the same claim<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC)?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Liberia Council of Churches is a conglomeration of Churches of the mainline, Pentecostal, and related Organizations and Institutions that partner with national ecumenical bodies, including the All-African Council of Churches (AACC) and the World Council of Churches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The council was <a href=\"https:\/\/libcchurches.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">established on July 22, 1982<\/a>, as a result of the Coup d&#8217;\u00e9tat and overthrow of the True Whig Party and the subsequent assassination of former president Rev.
