A Facebook user, Yekeh Kolubah<\/a>, in a social media post claimed that House Speaker Richard Koon’s convoy killed a motorcyclist.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post generated 121 likes, 72 comments, and 35 shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several social media users and platforms, including Marsin Leader Tarpeh<\/a>, Liberian First Online TV<\/a>, DTV Online<\/a>, and Amara Kabah<\/a>, made the same claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA decided to conduct a fact-check on the claims as part of its mandate to promote truth in public discourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The researcher initially contacted the claimants to gather evidence regarding the claim, but they refused to respond to numerous inquiries. Our researcher also contacted the authorities of the Liberia National Police to verify the claim, but they denied knowing of such an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
