As of July 20, 2025, the post had garnered 134,600 views, 596 comments, 230 shares, 1,500 likes, and 338 saves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post, however, quickly raised suspicion online, with several users pointing out noticeable inconsistencies in the facial features, attire, and background setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One user, 0xAmeen.Shib (@ameeen4live) questioned the image\u2019s legitimacy, asking, \u201cWhat is the authenticity of this image, @grok?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another user, EddyJoe (@JosephOnyilo), appeared to take the image at face value, writing: \u201cPeter Obi must have been a prized and good and upright man to earn Abacha\u2019s trust to drink tea with him. Congratulations to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although some social media users were quick to dismiss the image as fake, many others accepted it as genuine and began using it to push a misleading narrative about Peter Obi\u2019s relationship with the late General Sani Abacha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
