In its Friday, July 18, 2025, post<\/a>, an online news company named Pepper Bird<\/a> published an image of a man looking unconscious, and being carried by people with a claim that the man collapsed in New Kru Town, outside Monrovia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The caption of the post reads, \u201cA man from New Kru Town collapsed after finding out that the house they have been renting for 10 years at $200USD a month belongs to his wife.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post generated over 2k reactions, 600 comments, and 150 shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of those who commented on the post said women should be feared, while others were skeptical about whether the news originated from New Kru Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To amplify truth in the information ecosystem, DUBAWA authenticated the photo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA reversed the image on Google images, a feature on Google that allows users to search for related or similar images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The search revealed that the image is the photo of a man who was rescued from a collapsed building over five years ago in Lagos, Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multiple news reports, including those by the BBC, reported<\/a> that EPA Images, one of the world\u2019s leading visual content providers, took the image in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
