Appearing as a panellist on a late-night political show, Darius Doe<\/a> argued that the vast majority of the Liberian population is still living in hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doe stated that this is due to the government\u2019s incapacity to employ many Liberians because of limited job opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that two years into President Joseph Boakai\u2019s government, he has no tangible projects across the country to show, and he also claims there is \u201cno direct foreign investment\u201d yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed in his parting statement around 26:21 to 26:26 of the show<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this report, the show had 30.9k views, 314 comments, 297 reactions, and 31 shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA visited the office of the National Investment Commission to ascertain whether there have been any direct foreign investments since President Joseph Boakai assumed office in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commission handed DUBAWA the processing form for foreign direct investments made in Liberia from January 2024 to the time of Doe\u2019s claim in August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January 2024 to December of the same year, the commission earmarked five approved and in operation foreign direct investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One was in the process of being approved by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
