the state of Liberia\u2019s economy under the Boakai-led administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appearing as a debater on the Sept. 15, 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/v\/1GPL8XLUQP\/?mibextid=wwXIfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">edition<\/a> of the OK Conversation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/19Xgh7a5Ev\/?mibextid=wwXIfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Benedict Kolubah<\/a> argued the CDC under George Weah gave the government of President Joseph Boakai a better economy, saying they failed to take care of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Benedict, a staunch supporter of the former ruling CDC, claimed, \u201cWhen we left in 2023, the exchange rate was at 174\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He can be heard from 1:07:09 to 1:07:13 of the show, which had 1,500 comments, 485 reactions, and 126 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verification<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DUBAWA first contacted Benedict to provide the source of his assertion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his response on WhatsApp, Kolubah cited page 54 of the Central Bank of Liberia&#8217;s annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbl.org.lr\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2023ANNUALREPORT.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He took screenshots of the exact portions of the report as his quotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first sentence reads: \u201cIn 2023, the Liberian dollar \u2018(on average)\u2019
