Alexander Cummings made the claim when he appeared as a guest on the Spoon Night Time Show, \u201cSpoon Talk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The claim made by Cummings was highlighted by several online platforms, including Africa News<\/a>, Ayy Liberia<\/a>, Freedom FM 87.9 TV<\/a>, and Verity Online TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the controversy that Cummings\u2019 statement has generated, DUBAWA decided to conduct a verification of the claim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA reviewed the latest report from the Global Economy<\/a> showing steady growth of the Liberian economy in 2024 by 4.79%, an increase from 4.68% in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Bank in 2023 reported that the Liberian economy expanded by 4.7%,<\/a> a slight difference from the 4.68% reported by Global Economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other sources, like the African Development Bank<\/a> and the Central Bank of Liberia<\/a>, also reported growth within the Liberian economy of 4.8%, an increase from 4.68% or 4.7% in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
