Following the recent public outcry<\/a> of Nigerians and foreign powers over the incessant killings of Christians in Nigeria, the President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, labelled Nigeria a country of particular concern<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump criticised<\/a> the deaths of thousands of Christians and blamed Islamic radicals for the violent killings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amidst the ongoing development, popular social media influencer and self-acclaimed activist, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared<\/a> a video of Trump declaring to send the US military to Nigeria, destroy Boko Haram, and remove Bola Tinubu from being Nigeria\u2019s president.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am sending the US military to Nigeria for a peacekeeping mission. I would be giving Bola Ahmed Tinubu just 72 hours to fix this issue, or I would destroy the Boko Haram and remove Tinubu as Nigerian president,\u201d Trump was heard saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, the post had garnered over 124,000 likes, 2,992 comments, 6,936 bookmarks, and 9,321 shares. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some TikTok users who believed the post questioned whether Trump has the legitimate power to infiltrate a foreign country, those who did not expressly stated that the video had been altered with the aid of Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoes he have the power to remove President Tinubu from his seat?\u201d Odiri inquired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrump is a Christian, and his vice is equally Christian. Who complained?\u201d Another TikTok user queried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAI is crying out loud,\u201d Easydoz commented. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the sensitivity of Trump\u2019s utterances and the contradicting comments, DUBAWA decided to verify the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA noticed from the video that Trump\u2019s lip movement did not match the utterance. This suggests the utterances may have been altered. This lip-to-speech displacement usually occurs when a video\u2019s properties have been violated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We subjected the TikTok clip to Sensity AI<\/a> to know if any part of the video had been tampered with. The AI tool classified the clip\u2019s status as \u201csuspicious.\u201d It further submits that the lip-sync of the US president has been manipulated to an extreme level of 98.6 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC)<\/a> reported that Trump notified the United States Department of War to prepare for \u201cpossible action.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians!\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reuters<\/a> reported that the US president stated that there \u201ccould be\u201d US troops in Nigeria, and even air strikes, in response to the endless killings of Christians in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
