WAEC Result 2019 Is Not Yet Out"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-background has-very-light-gray-background-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CLAIM<\/strong>: An online publication, dailyinfo.com.ng in its July 9 2019 edition, had this screaming headline: &#8220;<em>Breaking: WAEC Result 2019 is out: See how to Check Result<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background has-vivid-red-background-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CONCLUSION<\/strong>: FALSE<\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>FULL TEXT:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>An online news platform, Daily Info, published a news item in its July 9, 2019 edition:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>We are happy to announce to all candidates that participated in the 2019 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams that the 2019 WAEC results is out and online. According to the statistics released by WAEC, 50%,<\/em><br \/><em>obtained minimum of credits in five (5) subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics (See: WAEC May\/June Result Statistics)<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyinfo.com.ng\/2019\/07\/09\/breaking-waec-result-2019-is-out-see-how-to-check-result\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The post<\/a> went further to advise candidates how to check their results online. It advised:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>You don\u2019t need to buy any scratch card to check your 2019 WAEC result. The result checker pin serial number needed by candidates to check results online are contained on candidate\u2019s smart identity card used during the conduct of the examination<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The claim was shared on many groups on the WhatsApp platform. Admission into universities. However, a visit to WAEC\u2019s website puts a lie to the claim. Only the results of the 2018 examination were available.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DUBAWA also spoke to the Head, Public Affairs of WAEC Nigeria, Mr. Demianus G. Ojijeogu to verify the claim. He told DUBAWA: \u201c<em>We are currently marking.
