The Senator representing Gombe Central Senatorial District Danjuma Goje on Thursday, July 18th, 2019, claimed that he <\/span>\u2018\u2018<\/span>never faced N25 billion corruption charge\u2019\u2019 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Former Governor was charged for the mismanaging of 25billion naira while he was in office as Governor of the state. The EFCC has been prosecuting Mr. Goje for about eight years now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Goje was one of the contestants for the office of Senate President at the 9th Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mr. Goje on Thursday, 6th June, 2019\u00a0 announced that he is <\/span>stepping down <\/span><\/a>from the race and therefore endorsed the candidacy of Ahmed Lawan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
