In January 2026, a photo posted by Sierra News 232<\/a> showing Victor Osimhen kneeling on a football pitch and proposing to a woman believed to be Regina Daniels began circulating widely on Facebook. The post attracted massive reactions, with many users debating whether Regina Daniels left her husband for Osimhen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the speed at which the claim spread and the strong public interest, DUBAWA investigated to verify the authenticity of the image and the claim attached to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, DUBAWA conducted a Google search and found that the claim had not been reported by any credible media outlet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA also conducted a detailed verification of the viral image using AI image detection tools. Our findings indicate that the photo is AI-generated. For instance, when we subjected it to JustDone<\/a>, the result showed that 74% of it was AI-generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, no official football body, match report, or credible sports media outlet recorded such a proposal happening after any semi-final match involving Victor Osimhen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
