On Friday, February 13, 2026, Justin Yeazeahn, popularly known as Prophet Key, was sentenced<\/a> by the Supreme Court of Liberia to six months in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His sentencing at the Monrovia Central Prison came after he was found guilty of criminal contempt for using abusive, vulgar, and offensive language against Liberian citizens, specifically targeting Chief Justice Yarmie Quiqui Gbeisay and his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barely a month into his jail term, an online blog named Yekeh Kolubah posted<\/a> that \u201cProphet Key is out of prison tonight. He has been advised to lay low.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A similar claim was also made by another social media user, as it is seen here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that this borders on adherence to the rule of law, DUBAWA verified Yekeh Kolubah\u2019s assertion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DUBAWA contacted the Director of Press and Public Affairs at the Ministry of Justice<\/a> to ask whether Justin Yeazeahn is still in their custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The justice ministry is an institution of the government of Liberia charged with ensuring compliance with and respect for the rule of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, Jutonu Kollie<\/a> stated that the court is the only competent body to commit and order release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe cannot do otherwise as we lack such legal authority,\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, if the court sends a release before six months expire, \u201cWe will honour the same, but none has come from the Supreme Court yet,\u201d Kollie said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
