The reports also lumped popular comedian Bovi&#8217;s wife in the same category. Social media spread the news like wildfire with the Twitter trend garnering over <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Bishop%20Oyedepo&amp;src=typeahead_click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">8000 tweets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is worth noting that Bishop David Oyedepo is the President of Living Faith, a church with its branches worldwide. Its headquarters though, reside in Ota, Ogun state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Dubawa was unable to get contact details for Prof Sheriff Folarin the chairman, Editorial and Media Board Living Faith Church. He, however, issued a statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sherifff1\/posts\/10157137939098741\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> rebuffing the assertions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Nonetheless, the U.S embassy has openly debunked the news.
