Before this announcement and since then, conspiracy theories have swirled around his whereabouts. A number of online users kept suggesting that he had been <a href=\"http:\/\/dubawa.org\/dir\/aso-rock-chronicles-president-buhari-abba-kyari-are-still-in-nigeria\/\">transferred abroad for medical treatment<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Presidency, however,&nbsp;said that Abba Kyari was receiving treatment in Lagos.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">And, now in a string of more conjectural claims have come a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akelicious.net\/covid-19-abba-kyari-dead-of-coronavirus-source\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog<\/a>, Akelicious.net, which claims Kyari has passed on. The publication went live on Friday, April 3, further attributing their source to a certain \u201cDr Kemi Olunloye, a trained pharmacist and medical journalist in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/nB1jY151xn0zMqXjvsNbf0asQBESH_Eil6ZfYZ_G9UrH7qS04FpjBwYDeM9LaYj4HzJ_5R3wAZb7pQXylw4U6AWtdA-KBJsLIxwpISpdmAytkS4gcNFrake2Apvx9uZsAEr4vO5C\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spelling errors and awkward formatting are reminiscent of malicious sites, according to tech giant, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/help\/188118808357379?_rdc=1&amp;_rdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>. However, credible platforms such as Channels online, Premium Times, Vanguardngr, Sahara reporters, Punch Newspapers, among others, failed to report this news.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Having searched print media as it were, we took to social media. Here we found that Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s media aide, already dismissed the news as a rumour on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BashirAhmaad\/status\/1246037073443860480?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Though I really don\u2019t know who this Lola is, but someone close to her should pls tell her to leave Abba Kyari to recuperate in peace, he\u2019s in Lagos &amp; responding well to treatment.
