Further, Edo state governor&#8217;s spokesperson, Crusoe Osagie<\/strong> <strong>rebuffed the assertion.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Full Text<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Edo State Government has reacted to a story circulating on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mcabel1\/videos\/3588724451144927\/?t=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">social media<\/a> that a Dangote truck was arrested recently in the state for \u201cconveying arms and ammunition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">One Tim U McAbel on Wednesday posted on Facebook an undated video of some officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ndlea.gov.ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NDLEA<\/a><\/strong>) supervising the offloading of bags of items from a truck belonging to Dangote Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fmcabel1%2Fvideos%2F3588724451144927%2F&#038;show_text=1&#038;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"414\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Verification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The Edo state government on Thursday said the video was \u201cfake\u201d and \u201cmisleading.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cNo Dangote truck was at any time impounded for carrying ammunition in Edo State,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.premiumtimesng.com\/regional\/south-south-regional\/389783-governor-obasekis-chief-of-staff-resigns.html\" target=\"_blank\">Governor Godwin Obaseki\u2019s<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0spokesperson, Crusoe Osagie, said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further stated that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;The Commander of NDLEA, Edo State, Buba Wakawa, stated that the truck in the said video was one impounded by his men in 2016, where the driver was found to have connived with some persons to transport cannabis. No arm or ammunition was impounded in that exercise in 2016.<br>The driver involved in that incident has since been tried at the High Court in Benin and jailed.
