Do you want to help in the personal development of young adults in the various Senior High and Tertiary schools in the country?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If yes, then we need you. This is your chance to leave a mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubawa, a fact-checking and verification project of the Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ), is looking for volunteers to join a nationwide outreach to educate students\/youth corp members on media and information literacy, basic fact-checking and critical thinking skills!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility and Expectation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteers must<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be resident in <strong>Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Be willing to undergo an online training if selected<\/li><li>Be willing to visit a senior high school (preferably their alma mater) or a tertiary institution in their resident country to sensitize and educate students on media and information literacy and fact-checking as a means of combating fake news.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Will be available for the \u2018\u2018week for truth\u2019\u2019 in the second week of November.<\/li><li>Must understand the use of social media.<\/li><li>Must have good communication skills.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Click on <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1RWCtVYb13HWwSO7COa1shEIuTYhESLuDZ8LZIo1zdC4\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>this form<\/strong><\/a><strong> to sign up.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration will end at midnight on 17th of October 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected volunteers will be notified and trained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DUBAWA WEEK&nbsp; FOR TRUTH (NOVEMBER 2021) Are you passionate about making an impact?
