The book is a recreation of the photo book titled Discover Nigeria,<\/em>\u201d the official statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>History maker, but not the first time<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although Omoboriowo\u2019s book again re-introduced Nigeria to the upper echelons of society, this is not the first time Nigeria and Nigerians are featured in the Guinness World Records for incredible feats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February 2021, Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okagbare, made an entry into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premiumtimesng.com\/sports\/nigeria-sports-news\/441846-okagbare-announces-entry-into-guinness-book-of-records.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guinness World Records<\/a> as the only athlete to have attended the Athletics Diamond Meetings 67 times.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She broke the news for her over 31,000 followers on the photo and video-sharing app, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CLGqOn3Hhuc\/?igshid=1x2xsr39i88f3\/&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/news\/book\/2020\/9\/amazing-kid-eche-smashes-football-freestyling-record-at-just-12-years-old-631358\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eche Chinonso<\/a>, a then 12-year-old football freestyle prodigy from Delta State, better known as \u201camazing Kid Eche,\u201d set the record for \u201cmost consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The feat, achieved on November 14, 2019, with an impressive 111 touches, was recognised by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Guinness World Records book.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, in 2006, Nigeria\u2019s dance and showbiz queen, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, broke the Guinness World Record for Longest Dance Party at the Nokia Silverbird Danceathon when she danced for 52 hours and 3 minutes nonstop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/i-need-greater-incentive-to-break-my-guinness-record-kaffy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Punch newspaper in 2017<\/a>, Kaffy, her stage name, revealed that she \u201calmost died\u201d in order to achieve the feat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Olawumi Treasure Bayode, another Nigerian, set a new Guinness Record in the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanguardngr.com\/2018\/03\/nigerian-bayode-breaks-guinness-record-longest-marathon-reading-aloud-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Longest Marathon Reading Aloud<\/a>\u201d category in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The father of three logged 120 hours at 15.30 today at the YouRead Library Yaba in Lagos.
