DUBAWA 2026 Week for Truth: Call for Volunteers

DUBAWA 2026 Week for Truth: Call for Volunteers

Are you passionate about fighting misinformation, promoting digital safety, and empowering communities with media literacy skills?

DUBAWA invites vibrant, community-minded individuals to volunteer for its 2026 Week for Truth.

The Week for Truth initiative will run its outreach campaign targeting parents, guardians, and Junior and Senior High School students across Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Senegal.

This is part of DUBAWA’s activities to celebrate the global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week, themed “We All Play a Part: Media and Information Literacy for the People.”

About the Initiative

DUBAWA’s 2026 Global Media Literacy Week focuses on strengthening Media and Information Literacy (MIL) within families and local communities.

Volunteers will bridge intergenerational gaps in digital literacy by facilitating conversations on digital hygiene, verification techniques, and safe online practices.

Selected volunteers will complete a comprehensive capacity-building program, including a 1-day training workshop on core MIL principles, fact-checking methods, and strategies for engaging youth and adults.
