Jerry Wife TV, a Facebook blog, has removed a post containing a viral EFCC mugshot of Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Following the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s arrest of VDM on May 2, 2025, Facebook blogs like Jerry Wife TV began to circulate a mugshot of VDM posing with an arrest placard.
The placard showed his name, the alleged charges against him, and a date. According to the placard, VDM was arrested for “Alleged case of cyberstalking and ML.”
DUBAWA verified and confirmed that this mugshot was doctored. Weeks after the publication, we discovered that the link to the post is no longer accessible.
We visited the page and manually searched previous posts, but could no longer find it. We realised Jerry Wife TV had pulled down the entire content; however, we have it archived here.
Recently, Rufai Oseni, a news anchor and TV presenter at Arise Television, also corrected his tweet after reading DUBAWA’s fact check.
