A stalwart of the former ruling Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), Benedict Kolubah claimed the CDC received 37% of the vote in Lofa County.

Benedict Kolubah is a former Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. The same claim was also made on an online platform, The Voice of Lofa.

Our researcher reviewed statistics from the National Elections Commission’s official website. The statistics show that the CDC candidate, former President George Weah, obtained 35,951 votes in Lofa County, representing 27.37% of the votes in the County during the General Presidential Election.

Statistics from the National Elections Commission for the 2023 Run-off Election also show that CDC obtained 41,298 votes in Lofa County, representing 35.4% of the total.
