Representative Frank Foko has accused the NEC of permitting more people to vote in the 2023 elections who did not register to vote.
According to the district number 9 lawmaker, Nimba County, for instance, has been good to the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), but said the party knows that the 2023 election was rigged by the commission.
Foko asked, “How can you register a certain number of people during the registration process, and you have more people voting than the number that registered?”
The CDC lawmaker said former President George Weah is a man of peace, and therefore handed over power to the Unity Party (UP) without protest.
He can be heard from 2:06 to 2:24 in a recent media engagement in Nimba County.

DUBAWA checked the official website of the National Elections Commission (NEC) to ascertain the lawmaker’s claim. The NEC is an autonomous public commission that is responsible for conducting elections for all elective public offices in Liberia.
As shown in the final registered figures per county, 307,254 Nimbians registered to vote in the 2023 elections.
Of that number, a total of 198,900 voted in the runoff election, while 248,352 voted in the presidential election.
