The second Vice President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Saye-Taayor Adolphus Dolo, has claimed that the Liberian National Women’s Football Team is ranked second in West Africa.
The Vice President made the claim at a rally dinner hosted by Liberia’s Chief Patron of Sports, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, in honour of the country’s National Men’s Team.
The claim was made between 15:05 and 1fa5:15 during the two-hour-long program held in Monrovia.
Dolo said, “We want to inform you, Mr President, that our women’s national team is the second-ranked team in West Africa.”
The rally dinner was intended to raise funds and prepare Liberia’s National Men’s Football Team for qualification ahead of the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

Thereafter, we checked FIFA’s official website. According to FIFA Women’s World Ranking, Ghana is second in West Africa and 60th globally.
DUBAWA checked Statista, a renowned statistics database, and found that Ghana again sits second in West Africa, behind Nigeria, while Liberia holds 13th place.
