Given Liverpool’s popularity and Ornstein’s credibility, the claim quickly gained traction, sparking reactions among football fans.

DUBAWA examined the claim to determine its accuracy.

Verification

DUBAWA checked official communication channels of Liverpool FC,  including their verified website and social media platform. 

We found no announcement indicating that as of 21St March 2026, Arne Slot has been sacked.

Further checks on reputable football databases, including Transfermarkt, confirm that Arne Slot remains listed as Liverpool’s current manager.

Additionally, credible sports journalists and major media outlets, who would typically report such a major development, have not published any reports supporting the claim.

While recent reports highlight Liverpool’s poor form, including multiple Premier League losses, none indicate that the manager has been dismissed. See here and here. 

The attribution to David Ornstein also appears to be false, as no such report exists on his verified platforms.
