Former Montserrado County District 8 Representative, Moses Acarous Gray, alleged that the lowest price for petroleum products on the Liberian Market is US$6.
Gray is a stalwart of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change. The claim was made at 33:50 during the live broadcast, while comparing the current petroleum crisis and the government’s approach to previous situations under the CDC government.
He made the claim during a radio appearance on Truth FM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The appearance, which was carried live on his social media page, generated 75 likes, 44 comments, and 12 shares.

According to a statement from the Ministry dated April 4, 2026, on the new price ceiling for petroleum products, the wholesale selling price for gasoline is US$4.81, while the retail selling price is US$5.09.
