A Facebook post by Salone Political Watch alleged that Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray was arrested by the Netherlands Immigration Department and had become the subject of investigations by Dutch authorities. The post included images showing him in the custody of officers and was framed as a developing issue involving foreign authorities.

The post generated reactions online and sparked discussions among social media users, many of whom questioned whether Kamarainba had indeed been arrested or investigated abroad. The same post was made by the same claimant herehere, and here.  Given the potential reputational implications of the claim and its public traction, DUBAWA decided to verify the authenticity of the information and the accompanying image.

Verification

DUBAWA first contacted the claimant to request evidence supporting his claim, but he failed to provide it. We then proceeded to contact Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray directly to verify the claim. In his response, he categorically denied the allegation and described it as false and fabricated. He stated that “it’s a fake and fabricated story.”

He added during the interview that he had already received numerous calls from people seeking clarification about the claim circulating on social media.

Beyond obtaining his response, DUBAWA also subjected the image accompanying the post to AI-detection analysis to determine whether it showed signs of manipulation or synthetic generation.

Additionally, DUBAWA found no official statements, credible media reports, or publications from Dutch authorities supporting claims that Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray was under investigation or linked to the Netherlands Immigration Department.

Conclusion

The claim is false. DUBAWA found no evidence supporting the claim that Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray was under investigation by Dutch authorities. Kamarainba personally denied the claim and described it as fabricated, while AI analysis also showed strong indications that the image attached to the post had been artificially generated or manipulated.
