A Facebook post shared by Musicians’ Network Blog claimed that King Boss LAJ was now at the all-game final, accompanied by photos showing Boss LAJ performing on a large stage in front of a massive crowd. The post created the impression that Boss LAJ was one of the performers at the All Game Final show.
The claim attracted wide attention, with many users liking, sharing, and commenting on the post, believing that Boss LAJ performed at the All Game Final event held at No. 2 River.
Verification
DUBAWA examined the claim by closely analysing the images shared, reviewing official event materials, and comparing details of the two separate events mentioned.
Findings show that Boss LAJ did not perform at the All Game Final show organised by Kao Denero. The All Game Final event took place at No. 2 River, a popular beach location outside Freetown, where several artists performed as part of the sports and entertainment celebration.
However, the images circulating online showing Boss LAJ on stage are from a completely different event. Boss LAJ actually performed at the Sierra Leone Civic Festival – Peace & Unity Concert, which was held at the Miatta Civic/Conference Centre (Youyi Building Car Park). This event was organised as part of the Salone Civic Festival 2025, with support from the Ministry of Information and Civic Education and UNDP.
A promotional flyer from the Peace & Unity Concert clearly lists Amb. King Boss LA as a performing artist. The flyer also states the date, time, and venue of the event, which differ significantly from those of the All Game Final show. This confirms that the performance depicted in the photos did not occur at No. 2 River.
In addition, the researcher was physically present at the Sierra Leone Civic Festival 2025 – Peace & Unity Concert, held at the Miatta Civic/Conference Centre (Youyi Building Car Park).
