Claim: Senegalese online news platform Senegal 7 reported that Senegalese TikTok star Kalidou Diallo, popularly known as “Lom De Ziguinchor,” died in a road accident.
Verdict: Misleading. Official records and statements from the Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG) confirm that Kalidou Diallo died on August 15, 2026, after falling from an apartment building during a drug enforcement raid in Kerr Seringe, The Gambia, and not in a road accident.

Given the conflicting information surrounding Diallo’s death, DUBAWA set out to verify the claim.
Verification
Kalidou Diallo, who reportedly had more than 1.2 million TikTok followers, was known for videos showcasing an extravagant lifestyle and had gained a significant following in Senegal and beyond.
DUBAWA found that Diallo died in The Gambia on August 15, but evidence gathered during the investigation contradicts the claim that he died in a road accident.
According to information obtained by DUBAWA, Diallo had recently travelled to The Gambia with a Senegalese friend and was staying at Lobo Apartment in Kerr Seringe, in the West Coast Region, near the Senegambia tourism area.
DUBAWA contacted Ebou Touray, manager of Lobo Apartment, to establish when Diallo checked into the property. However, Touray did not respond to DUBAWA’s messages or calls.
During the investigation, DUBAWA also reviewed a video interview published by VM International, a Gambian online news and entertainment platform. In the interview, a man who claimed to have witnessed events surrounding Diallo’s death disputed the road accident narrative.
To independently verify the circumstances surrounding the death, DUBAWA contacted the Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG).
Dawda Sanyang, DLEAG’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed to DUBAWA that Diallo died after falling from a building during a drug enforcement operation.
“Kalidou Diallo (Lom De Ziguinchor) died after falling from the second floor of Lobo Apartment Complex in Kerr Seringe during a DLEAG operation,” Sanyang said.
Sanyang also said that suspected drugs were found in the apartment where Diallo and his friend were staying.
“Drugs were found in their apartment, and the other guy [Diallo’s friend] is in custody helping the investigation,” he explained.
Below is a screenshot of a WhatsApp message from the DLEAG PRO confirming Diallo died after falling from a multi-storey building.

While DUBAWA could not independently verify whether the fall was accidental or resulted from an altercation as alleged by the eyewitness, the official statement from DLEAG confirms the death resulted from a fall during a raid, disproving the traffic accident claim.
However, the official account from DLEAG confirms that Diallo’s death occurred following a fall from the apartment building during the agency’s operation, not as a result of a road accident.
Conclusion
The claim that Senegalese TikTok star Kalidou Diallo, popularly known as “Lom De Ziguinchor,” died in a road accident in The Gambia is Misleading.
DUBAWA’s investigation found that Diallo died on August 15, 2026, after falling from the second floor of Lobo Apartment Complex in Kerr Seringe during a DLEAG operation.
The circumstances surrounding the fall remain the subject of investigation, while DLEAG says Diallo’s friend remains in custody as investigations continue.
