Recently, there have been growing concerns between Nigerian Bishop Primate Elijah Ayodele and Liberians over the Prophet’s incendiary comments against the Liberian government.

The Prophet’s statement drew widespread concerns, disenchantment and clashes from citizens.

However, there were media reports that the Liberian Embassy in Nigeria wrote a complaint to the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, concerning the prophet’s action. Following this report, Acarous Moses Gray took to his official Facebook page claiming that the ambassador has been recalled. The post is archived here.

Verification

DUBAWA firstly contacted the Press and Public Affairs Office of the Liberian Embassy in Nigeria via WhatsApp call. The Department, through its Minister Counsellor, Jerry Nyenpan, said such a decision has not been communicated to the body.

“We are not aware of such a decision; it has not been communicated,” Jerry told DUBAWA.

We also contacted the Presidential Press Secretary, Kula Fofana, to confirm whether the President has recalled Ambassador John Ballout from the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In response, Kula said the information was “not to her knowledge.”
