A TikTok user, officialaa_nova, has removed a misleading video he shared claiming to show Nigerian bandits travelling by aircraft after DUBAWA’s fact-check.

On June 4, 2026, the TikTok user shared a viral video (archived here) showing armed men seated inside an aircraft and claimed that the footage depicted Nigerian bandits using aircraft within the country.

However, DUBAWA’s verification published on June 16, 2026, revealed that the footage was linked to Somali security personnel and not Nigerian bandits.

DUBAWA re-visited the TikTok user’s page on June 19, 2026 and found that the post had been removed from the platform.
