Crimes are relatively high in Liberia. This has resulted in increased violence amongst motorcyclists and criminals.
However, Yekeh Kolubah’s blog post on Facebook featured a video appearing to show criminals breaking into a shop at night and making off with valuables. The blog claimed the footage is from Liberia.
The post said “Jesus!!!!!? See what these criminals did to this person’s store. My goodness, so an iron gate is no longer enough to protect people‘s property again!!??
Moral Lesson: And Gregory Coleman says don’t touch dem!”

The controversy led DUBAWA to initiate a fact-check.
Verification
To verify this claim, DUBAWA utilised the InVid verification tool to break the video into frames, then used Google’s Reverse Image Search to identify the video’s source.
The search found that the video was previously posted on two Kenyan blogs, both on Instagram and Facebook, on October 14, 2025, stating that the incident occurred in Runyenjes, Embu, Eastern Kenya. The blogs are Diaspora Media Max and Plug TV Kenya.
It was posted by an X (Twitter) user quoting the location to Kigumo, a city in Kenya.
Research shows the video was recirculated on Yekeh Kolubah’s blog two days after it was posted on Kenyan blogs.
Conclusion
Our findings indicate that the video originated from Kenya, not Liberia, as claimed by Yekeh Kolubah’s blog; therefore, the claim is misleading.
