On Feb. 28, 2026, the United States and Israel launched coordinated air and missile strikes against multiple strategic targets in Iran, including locations in the capital, Tehran.
US authorities say the strikes are part of efforts to degrade Iran’s military, nuclear infrastructure, and leadership structure. Iranian state media later confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed in the attack.
Similarly, US President Donald Trump announced on social media that Khamenei had been killed in a joint US–Israeli military operation.
Amid the heightened tensions, a Facebook user identified as Adamu Salihu Abbas posted on a page named “TVC News” (archived here) on March 1, 2026, claiming that Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is dead.
As of March 2, 2026, the post had generated over 226 comments, 136 likes, and 21 shares.
Some reactions under the post showed users were happy about the announcement, while others suggested that the alleged death could provoke serious political and security consequences.
Dafwat Nokpan wrote, “Good! No room for terror regime or future world threats.”
Okpale Fancyl wrote, “Touch not the anointed and do prophet no harm.”
Izang Ajik also said, “Hahahah, if that man die, you know wetin go happen to Arab nations. Omoh, even you sef, no pray that kind prayer.”
Given the sensitivity of the Middle East crisis and the potential geopolitical implications of such a development, DUBAWA decided to verify the claim.
Verification
DUBAWA found no credible international news organisation that reported the death of the Prime Minister. We found this odd because if a sitting Israeli Prime Minister dies, particularly during an active regional conflict, such news would be widely reported by multiple verified international and Israeli government sources. However, no such reports exist.
Further findings show that as of March 1, 2026, Netanyahu remained publicly active. He issued statements vowing to intensify Israeli strikes on Tehran with US support. He also commented on military operations targeting Iran, including developments surrounding Iran’s leadership.
He also held a security meeting at the Kirya in Tel Aviv with the Minister of Defence, the IDF Chief of Staff and the Director of the Mossad.
His continued public engagement in real-time military and political decisions contradicts the claim circulating on Facebook.
Conclusion
The claim that Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is dead is False. There is no official announcement or credible media report confirming his death.

Obviously It IS not dead. He IS out of Israel since the they attack irán…
