On April 9, 2025, we published a fact-check about Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM). In the copy, we claimed that he shared a misleading image of a lifeless farmer attacked and killed by Fulani herdsmen in the South.
Upon further check, we realised that the account does not belong to or is not associated with VDM. The account @thatverydarkma1 is a parody account of VDM.
We have since updated the copy to reflect the new knowledge.
We apologise to our audience who may have been misled by the initial copy.
