A post circulating on Facebook by Born2Blog claims that Nigerian content creator Brain Jotter has completed a degree in medicine and is now officially a doctor. The post is accompanied by images showing him in a celebratory “sign-out” setting alongside another image of him dressed in a medical outfit, suggesting he has joined the medical profession.
The claim has attracted congratulatory messages from users who appear to believe that the comedian has transitioned into a medical career. Given Brain Jotter’s popularity across social media platforms, such claims can easily gain traction, especially when supported with images that appear convincing. The same post was made here, here, here, here, here, and here.
However, the post does not provide any verifiable details about the institution, medical training, or licensing body involved, raising concerns about its authenticity.
Verification
DUBAWA’s Checks show that Brain Jotter (real name Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie) studied Business Administration at the University of Lagos, not Medicine.
In August 2024, he celebrated his university sign-out on Instagram, which went viral after he humorously called on Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA), for a job opportunity. This interaction was widely reported and consistently referenced his academic background in Banking and Finance.

Brain Jotter on his sign-out from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), showing he could work in Tony Elumelu’s bank, as posted on his Instagram.
A review of credible media coverage also aligned with his academic background in Business Administration/Banking and Finance, referencing his completion at UNILAG and subsequent request for job help to Tong Elumelu. See here, here, here, and here. Also, the sign-out photos were taken in August 2024, as of the date they were posted on his Instagram page.
None of these reports indicated that he studied medicine or qualified as a doctor. The image portraying him in medical attire appears to be misleading and does not reflect his academic qualifications.
Conclusion
The claim that Brain Jotter studied medicine and is now a doctor is false. Verified records show that he graduated from the University of Lagos, and there is no credible evidence linking him to any medical qualification.
