“Timaya buys over 20 units of Terrace Empire for over (two) billion naira at once,” he wrote.
The post contained pictures of the newly purchased real estate property and a photo of the Nigerian singer.
ChinekeBoy Updates, who made the post on Monday, September 4, 2023, noted that people save up for years to purchase one unit, but the multi-award-winning singer bought 20 at once.

We conducted a keyword search about the post on Google but discovered nothing connected to Timaya. However, his music counterpart, Phyno, is linked to the property. A news blog, NaijaChoice, announced that the rapper purchased “20 apartments of Empire Terrace Project by Victoria Crest Homes.”
Famous realtor Kennedy Okonkwo also congratulated Phyno for the purchase via Instagram. The post includes a similar picture to the claimant’s and a video clip of the house.
In Mr Okonkwo’s congratulatory post, he acknowledged sandra_nedcomoaks, who struck the deal. Ms Sandra also recognised Mr Okonkwo’s post over Phyno’s purchase of the house.
Finally, we contacted Timaya via his social media handle, enquiring about the said property, but received no response.
Conclusion
The claim is false. The real estate agents of Terrace Empire publicly acknowledged the sale of the house units to Phyno.
