DUBAWA reviewed the claim against an official public notice issued by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MOICE) dated 20 August 2026, titled “Travel Through Guinea: What Sierra Leoneans Should Know.”
The notice directly contradicts the claim, stating that Sierra Leoneans are not banned from travelling to or transiting through Guinea. It explains that citizens with valid travel documents who meet the relevant immigration and security requirements may continue to travel for legitimate purposes.
