The Liberia government shuts down the border with Sierra Leone, according to Sierra Loaded news report and social media users.

Findings
The official spokesperson of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Mr Abraham Dorley, told DUBAWA via a telephone conversation that the government of Liberia shut down all of its borders ahead of the election day. Mr Dorley said that it is a regular routine carried out by the LIS during election processes.
“Yes, we closed all our borders effectively on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, and they will be reopened on Wednesday, 11, 2023,” Dorley said.
