Claim: A Facebook user posted a video claiming it shows Representative Saah Foko falling while officially kicking off a football match.
Verdict: False. DUBAWA’s findings showed the person in the video is a Cameroonian national, not Representative Saah Foko.

A local Liberian blog, Yekeh Kolubah, posted a video suggesting Frank Saah Foko, Montserrado County District #9 Representative, fell during an official kick-off ceremony to a football match.
The blog posted the video on its official Facebook page on Sept. 11, 2026, claiming the person who took an awkward fall after attempting to showboat at an official kick-off ceremony was Representative Saah Foko.
The caption read, “Today Rep. Saah Foko did a kickoff at a soccer match, and he did not play, falling like breadfruit.”
As of Sept. 18, 2026, the video has generated over 4, 000 likes, 1,300 comments, and more than 400 shares.
Below is a screenshot of some comments on the post, including Representative Foko’s official handle, who labelled the video AI-generated.
This video was also shared by other platforms and individuals, as seen here, here, and here.
DUBAWA thought it was important to verify the video’s facts because it could mislead viewers.
Verification
A keyframe analysis showed that Cameroonian digital content creator Waa Muu Asang posted the original video on a Facebook page. Asang posted the video on Sept. 8, 2026, with the caption, “Ashiaa Papa DO.”
The video also featured reggae music and the phrase in Cameroon Pidgin English, “Ova Sabi,” which is interpreted as showing off one’s knowledge.
DUBAWA also observed that the photo of Representative Foko was pasted over the Cameroon Pidgin English phrase, with the same reggae music.
Further checks established that the video was posted on TikTok by Prince Nfor Back UP on Sept. 7, 2026, and by The Post Newspaper, Cameroon, on the same day.
The Post Newspaper, Cameroon, posted the video with the caption, “Stylish Kickoff Turns into Muddy Landing for Buea D.O. What was meant to be a classy start to a local football tournament quickly became an unexpected spectacle for Buea Divisional Officer, Dr Abba Abdouraman.”
The researcher also contacted the person at the centre of the alleged viral video, Representative Frank Saah Foko, via WhatsApp, and he told DUBAWA he was not the one in the video.
Representative Foko said, “That is not my video. I have no idea about that video. Kindly reach out to those who posted the video and ask where they got it, since they’re claiming it’s my video.”

Conclusion
The claim is false. DUBAWA’s research and available information showed that the video originated from Cameroon and has no connection to Representative Frank Saah Foko.
